A rather small portion of software that requires search requires a relational database, though.

No, not a surprising result. A perfectly expected result. Working 40 hours a week is too much. "Working" 50 hours a week is absurd. Occasional crunches are ok of course, but as a constant minimum, those are just idiotic numbers, a

Even though the function's name is unveil, I'm thinking that this feature is for denying access rather than allowing. In that sense, I think it's a useful protection measure that the new directory doesn't suddenly become

Why would the user do that? You don't move away a program's data dir while it's running and expect everything to just work, right?

Why don't people understand that crowdfunding is not indie shopping? It's a high risk investment. You support projects you believe in (in the religious sense of the word) and if you're lucky, you might get something.

When I wrote Mastering Rust, I did most of the work during the only available productive hours of the day: 20-05. Amazing legal narcotics i.e. coffee helped quite a lot. I wasn't miserable, but that's mostly due to the excitement

Thanks, that's much better. I think it shows that Mojave renders the fonts clearly better: check out for instance 'll' in 'ullamco'. Generally, almost identical pictures though.

I've been using Linux for 2 decades, and this year I moved to MacOS, with the newest MacBook and a 5K iMac. Everything pretty much just works, is much prettier by default than I ever got my Linux installations to be. Given my experienc

It's interesting how the people who "do things correctly" and the people who "do things usably" almost never are the same people. Could it be that these things are mutually exclusive? Anecdotally, I've tried to

I wish Hashicorp will seriously maim many of the other devops solutions. Their stuff has grew on me slowly, but I'm appreciating the hell out of their focused tools. Smells like Unix spirit.
