That could also be a good thing though. Eating all of those beans vs eating fatty salty potato chips.

I wonder whether it has something to do with the way you would drive a Tesla vs how you would drive a Volt/Leaf. I'm not saying that the Tesla is necessarily better performing, just that two different types of people are the likel

I'm all for putting in the occasional overtime, and working on stuff at home if you're still engaged. But an expectation that you will work more than the 40 hours a week that they're paying you for, blows my mind.

This looks like something I could actually use. I've just downloaded it. My take from the website, there is no price on the main page. I have to click 'Buy Now' with no idea whether I want to actually purchase. Which is a com

This is a great solution if you have a good technical staff helping to run a business. The reality is though that this is more likely to affect businesses without technical knowledge, or home users.

Also, it's a third party site interviewing geeks about what they're doing, so 'Quietly' might not be the correct word. That aside, the site is a good idea and covering projects of this nature is important.

Adding PyCharm to the collection of products is awesome. I do wish JetBrains would offer some combined licensing. Since I have a tendency to use quite a few of their products.

Very cool. I'll have to give it a spin. I can think of quite a few things this could help with. Kudos also for the TLS everywhere.

Very interesting concept, but it is very limited currently. I'd like to see some other 'classes'. A class for Ops/DevOps, and for Technical Management for instance

After reading for a bit, it became apparent that the title is misleading. This guy from England has indeed made it half way across Europe, but he has hardly traveled the world.

HECS is amazing. I would never have been able to afford university without it. Mine has long since been paid back (a painless process).

Just last week we offered a job to a guy that has spent time as a CFO (among other things), and lately decided to switch to ruby programming. If you're willing to come in as a "junior" developer then you will quickly progress

Well that's a particular type of trap. To be honest, I wouldn't want to be a programmer or sysadmin at the NSA right now. They're going to "punish" all the remaining employees because of Snowden's actions.
