Highly recommend Leave Me Alone. Discovered it late last year through Twitter and it helped me unsubscribe from 238 newsletters with about 5 mins effort. It's also an open startup so you can look at all the actionable metrics at https

This really sucks for those that have invested in the platform and now have less than a month of warning. If anyone needs help migrating off hyper.sh I am pretty free over the holiday period. I have extensive DevOps experience. I'm hap

Keeping in mind you are playing Devils Advocate. I can see how from a risk and prevention perspective, prior convictions are highly relevant. The ML example factors into this. Banks would not be unwise to lock the doors when a person with 9

The Age is lamenting not being able to talk about a case because it's under a supression order due to a second trial in March. However other entities not bound by the supression order including overseas papers and twitter have made thi

Well done on slamming the 18 yr olds first product. This is very clearly the first release of a product and it is definitely targeting a slice of the functionality, but that's just good sense right. Get it out there for people to try a

This is definitely something that I would be interested in, however it's one of my pet peeves not being able to know how much something is going to cost "after the trial". Why waste your time trying something if it's not

I love the idea of this app, however I fell at the first hurdle. I don't have a current phone number with which to receive texts. Why is that a necessity to sign up?

Looks like several higher fleet officers were fired or 'retired early' in the wake of this, so I'm not certain it's just throwing people under the bus. Scant details on what made them 'derelict in their duty'.

I'd be very interested to know "what evidence was suppressed" and how it makes the OP innocent. If indeed the OP created 5k+ accounts and intended to deceive OfficeMax then this is anything but innocent. "I didn't k

My feeling is that the friction of learning a language has a large impact on the success and adoption of the language. Something like this definitely reduces friction.

They don't really have any control over the name though. Agressive action to control it would just further alienate a community and cause a push back that would be damaging to Oracle...oh if only there were a push back.

I think the other side of this is important as well, shoving a patch or a pull request across for something you use and sharing with them that you're fine if they don't merge it. Probably less with the kernel and more with smaller

I was trying to find supporting evidence for this (I certainly feel it to be true), Unfortunately I found the opposite[1]. Though this was till 2016, so I wonder if it's changed. [1]: https://www.weforum.org/agenda/

That is a seriously BS example. If guns had an effect on reducing rape US would be much lower than Australia that has much tighter gun laws[1]. US has all the school shootings that come with gun ownership and none of the supposed benefits.

Also, ABC is anything but a crap media outlet. A vision of SA from outside that may not tell the whole story, sure, but they do great investigative journalism.

I'm sure it's not difficult if you're in SA, it was hard from Australia, because quite a few of those ecommerce sites won't take international cards (to protect against fraud). We got there in the end.
