Try installing grpcio-tools on Darwin/arm64 with Python 3.10. More often than not I run into problems where low level headers required by some cryptography libraries cannot be found and as a result compilation fails.

This is super helpful for me as a Dapr maintainer (we have a ton of third party integrations we compile into our binary). As others mentioned - other tools can generate a lot of noise. Found and upgraded a vulnerable dependency and then qui

Of course I also don't want to spray aerosolized lead all over low income (especially) neighborhoods. I have always felt very conflicted about this. I think that point was adequately covered by other comments however.

As someone who flies GA aircraft out of Boeing field (KBFI) I also welcome this change. I don't want more leaded fuel on my hands. The lead can be absorbed by skin.

At that age I decided to quit my tech job and live in China for an intensive language program. That opened my eyes to so many other things. I'm currently working on learning Korean. Also working on my private pilot license. And then th

Exactly this. I went to a liberal arts college and had small class sizes (most around 9-15 in size, with the largest being 30) - I could see my professors 1:1 pretty much anytime I wanted, but there was also a preceptor (TA) for each class

I'm like this too. I also have a hard time focusing on things like podcasts - the only time that works for me is my commute to work or when I go for a run. You should see how I somehow manage to spend 15 minutes cutting carrots because

You can build multiplatform images for x86 and ARM (e.g. M1 Mac) like so: docker buildx build --platform linux/amd64,linux/arm64 . I constantly use buildx to build x86 images on my M1 so that I can run these images in my x86 Kuber

Late 2020 I switched from Intel to AMD Ryzen 5900X for my gaming PC and only had great experiences as far as gaming is concerned. I should point out that there were significant USB problems on AMD B550, X570 chipsets (eventually addressed v

Maybe return the items it found so far and provide the cursor it failed on? Have a way to optionally provide the cursor? I can think of some ways I'd implement this in an SDK. Probably for simplicity I'd have some sort of JSON sta

Related: Do you think SDKs for these APIs should themselves require you to interact with the cursors? If I ask a SDK to get me 100 items but internally it returns only 50 before needing to make another call with a marker or cursor It would

At research universities perhaps, but at liberal arts colleges (not a liberal arts program within a big university - that's different) professors actually are there for the teaching.

Being third in the market is independent from the quality of services IMO. Whether the services are being offered that a lot of businesses need is a different question. The services Google Cloud does offer tend to be well designed but many

Exactly, or else we'd get the dreaded message of having insufficient "conventional" memory. Tuning autoexec.bat and config.sys were necessary.

How did you learn to tune those? It was all trial and error for me. I'd love to see a blogpost about this so I can finally learn all the things that I should have done but didn't back in the day :)

I somehow got away with never adding this in my autoexec.bat. I don't remember much with regards to tweaking that stuff.. running memmaker.exe comes to mind. Also loading the CD driver in extended memory mode (MSCDEX.exe /E). Then

I play MSFS in VR and have rudders, throttle and yoke... but without any forces on the rudder it's just incredibly hard. I certainly can't fly it very well with the Saitek / Logitech Yoke.

Also pilot here (C172 G1000): I personally find landing a plane IRL easier than in MSFS. Much easier when I am able to feel resistance on the yoke, feel shifts in wind and gravity etc. All the MSFS controls are so extremely touchy. Though I
