In the US people either under estimate the size of the CCP or act as though it is an egalitarian group of people where everyone has access to all information and is briefed on strategy. The CCP doesn't vote on its strategy among all of

I don't think anyone is explaining your experience. You always hated it and still do. No big deal. However you seem to reject the idea people can go from disliking it to liking it, which isn't the case. Nobody claimed you can forc

Expanding on (1): It is important to explain to HN readers the reality of CCP membership. You can consider it the equivalent of national honor society in high school in the US and various honor societies in college, but with membership dues

Gotta love all the "German style" beers that still taste like watery IPAs and nothing like the German beer they pretend to imitate. I hear the kind of hops and water they use may be partially to blame

Americans think that Germans drink a lot of Jaegermeister or love that stuff. I only ever saw old people drinking that in Germany, or people on a dare... I am pretty sure Jaegermeister is more popular in the US than Germany

I didn't like beer, wine, whiskey or coffee at 16 or 18 and now do. I don't know when I started liking black licorice but surely I didn't eat that as a toddler. I remember my parents giving it to me when I couldn't sleep

I loved eating that stuff as a kid growing up in Germany. Still do, but can't easily find it in Seattle. It's a very acquired flavor... just like I absolutely cannot get used to the taste of IPAs.

Can't comment on Stadia, but my Unifi UDM and WiFi routers weren't good enough for reliable game streaming. Had to go wired. With Gigabit Fiber (Centurylink in my case) it works extremely well on several cloud game streaming servi

So instead of 淡水 (Tamsui / Danshui) more like 蛋水 (Both of these sound the same with the same tones, but I replaced the first character with the one for egg of the same sound, hence meaning egg water.)

About 4 months ago I picked up a 2060 Super for my ancient gaming desktop while I am waiting for the 3080 or 3090 to finally build a new gaming PC. Ideally I'd have a 4th gen Ryzen equivalent of the 3900X. The main reason my 2012 build

The WSL2 kernel at this time cannot access ext4 partitions natively. Only partitions available in Windows can be mounted in WSL2. So that means installing ext4 drivers... WSL2 itself uses a virtual file system.

WSL2 simulates a virtual ext4 file system. If you want to access ext4 natively from WSL2, wait for the next Windows Insiders release!
