While I agree, and manage to live comfortably without TV in my life, i find the sugar addiction for me is still very real (despite a conscious effort to avoid it). Having said this, I don't believe it is directly related to childhood a

How do people plan to test their apps continue to work when this change goes out? I guess running the phone on an IPV6 only network and confirming it works would be all it takes? I'm sure there are things I'm missing, what are oth

This title seems a bit off. Mentioning the hosting provider like this almost implies the leak is the fault of AWS, which to me feels like blaming Lexmark for someone printing sensitive info and then leaving it in the printer for others to f

I'm going to assume someone gave him notes prior to the interview and he read them so he would sound like he knew what he was on about. Having said that, I would pay for the comedic value of seeing GW Bush string that sentence together

Meh, this is just MSN all over again. This seems to be some kind of weird cycle the Internet goes through, I'm sure eventually an open protocol will thrive...we're just not there yet.

We looked down this path, but ultimately just didn't want to be responsible for SMTP servers. Now we're with Sparkpost, the rate was actually a touch cheaper (by maybe a few hundred a month on a several thousand dollar bill). Ther

Besides the obvious and easily preventable case of someone setting up an open relay, there is plenty of risk associated associated simply with the presence of a SMTP server. The providers out there will require you to setup DKIM, SPF record

This is exactly why services like RDS, Redshift, S3 and others are killing it. People don't want to deal with the finer details of running a server of any kind, they just want the service it provides. Running a mail server is a lot of

I'm not sure I'm following, do you mean that the company may not be extracting optimal performance out of them? I'd agree, great people don't always do great work, often simply due to the environment they're in. Hav

A lot of people here seem to suggest it is unreasonable to ask someone to do some coding in an interview given that you've shown a series of projects and provided references. Unfortunately I've been through a variety of interviews

I'm sure that is likely the case, but you can understand why hiding your price is horribly frustrating. Amazon do a great job showing their price to the public and explaining how they can lower it further without talking to sales peopl

Thats really nice, but when you're me, who sends around 30 million emails / month, that pricing gets insane (as in, more than my AWS bill). So yeah...i'd love to entertain the idea but its just not possible.

This cant be right (but if it is, they're morons). In this scenario, we'll need a package for millions of members. With the rough math I just did, this would make our monthly Mailchimp bill a larger cost for us than our AWS accoun
