> Don't post generated text or AI-edited text. HN is for conversation between humans. This is HN's newest guideline / rule, seems the opposite to me. Does it still happen, yes, is it as bad as 6 months ago, no.

I would not be surprised in the slightest if we later find out they are running those same open models to find useful traces or bits to incorporate into their own training. Lots of rules for thee but not for me from Big Ai I look forward to

Can you please you capital letters as most people do, it's incredibly difficult to find sentence/thought boundaries, or at least put some newlines between them if the shift key is such a burden I prefer json to sql, because I need

yes, I decide these things because the agents are not up to the task, hence why I would not automate it in the background, instead using human in the loop automation to build evaluate, process, create more permanent markdown. I use the expo

This is one of the core reasons I am unwilling to use their closed Ai. Have we forgotten the last two decades of SV darlings to demons? Are we doomed to repeat the same mistakes?

sure, but if you want to use virtual methods, you have to declare ahead of time what types you implement, instead of the compiler looking to see if your type satisfies an interface. Its these little things that make the DX difference

I was solving your problem.before LLMs with my personal developers Swiss army knife (hof gen/CUE+templates). I'm somewhat keen to see how I can capture the agent markdown I want in many places, like project init, in CUE via embed

you dont need to, export the sessions and render them to markdown, a nice thing is that OpenCode already understands project locality, so use a .sessions for in you repo and get project specific memories (probably want to summarize them dow

don't let them decide on memories like you shouldn't really be having them write skills or agents.md files I use them to produce candidates, but not make the decision, there's almost always something wrong in there and in nee

We do that, but keep the scripts in the code and just tell them in the markdown where the scripts are, same with "references" (docs/) for us. It never made sense to me to put those in a skill dir, many are useful across skill

right, it was not text generation per-se (completion/contemporary understanding) that came first, vision was before that, translation before that

> If this is such a great approach, why are some people moving away from it? My answer is because forcing a type hierarchy, and having to declare where every type belongs in it, is a PITA. Duck typing is far more flexible and good enough

I can, and do, do all that with ansible in my homelab setup. It's a cognative dissonance to downplay alternatives to make your features somehow unique. No LLMs are needed for this, if I were you, I would ask an agent to implement this
