I agree completely. The correct simplification to make is not explaining virtual memory or MMIO. Pretend we have nicely-acting linear address space. The computer is a mail-sorting octopus and when it runs out of hands it only has mailboxes

It is easy to "isolate" wifi module in most smart tv with a screwdriver and about 30 minutes. They use commodity parts so it is normally removable (like in laptops). If it isn't just screw up the antennae so the soc still see

What I see is two types of people, people that understand basic computer architecture and those that don't. The C memory model and pointers come easily to those that understand what a memory address is and how long one is on their favo

I completely agree, and for a good example of "better", I think spotify's discovery algorithms are "pretty alright". It's less likely to get stuck in a rut. Youtube is happy to try to bring you down a rabbit ho

It is complicated. I think thats a bad solution. I want to see the counts. I feel it is far more transparent to see the counts than for things to just be surfaced or not opaquely. Youtube is not a discussion site and it does not work as one

It's interesting because this is a real answer that will get you hired. It demonstrates knowledge of: the "correct" way to do it, basic asm awareness, programmer culture, and computer architecture. This probably checks off li

It really isn't a lie. The state of Texas considers a 30 year old man fucking around with a "girl younger than 17 years" to be sexual assault. He has been charged with 4 counts of sexual assault.

Chroma subsampling is nice because it lets you "delay" some of the upsampling to later device in the pipeline, like your GPU outputs YUV4:2:0 and your monitor hardware does the chroma upsampling. If you don't want that, use 4
