I think most people read too much into the speeds. What they are acutally saying is that you now have a legal right to get a decent-ish connection at any place in Finland. And this should be a right in any modern country, as so many things

I had a genuine Nokia-charger go total armageddon on me once. Never charge your phone while you sleep, it might be the last thing you ever do. Regardless if it is "fake" or "genuine".

Your version of a datahaven seems flawed. What if no-one want to sell you connectivity? How will you manage what adresses they are accassible on? Heck, you even made your data trackable down to a few meters by using GSM.

I find it disturbing that some poeple find it so hard to belive that it might just be chance. It's way more likely to be that. The serial number on the cards are either generated in series (1, 2, 3 ...) or just pseudorandom, but they are no

I've had great success with Samsung 830-series in two Macbook Pros. Actually I just ordered another one to put in my desktop. I'd stick with Intel or Samsung if you care about reliability more than pure performance. That said, the Samsung d

You never want to hardcode anything like that. You use DNSSEC instead. Right now the adoption is slow, but things are speeding up. With DNSSEC you would be able to authenticate that you are indeed getting the proper DNS reponse from your na

Why not just set up your own resolver? If they start to filter out root servers they literally break the Internet, which is bad if you're in the business of delivering said Internets.

Good thing DNSSEC will put an end to all this madness with DNS-filtering and spoofing. It's not working as intended and should never have been installed in the first place.

Just out of curiosity, are you afraid that what's happening in Greece right now also will happen in Argentina? With pay raise to avoid internal conflicts and benefits beyond this planet, I see an impending doom. Is it also possible that Arg

If you look at the http headers you'll see that they use varnish to cache the content and nginx as webservers. They probably have a pretty decent CDN to deliver the content to users across the world. Side-note: I also heard that the founder

I can't really say I love the direction Apple is taking with Mac OSX. They make really radical changes to how things work, and for a phone that might be okay, I don't use my phone that much, but with every update (or so it seems, after Snow

You can't really call it breaking scrolling, you can still scroll back and forth, up and down. The two-finger gesture on the other hand has been reserved for back/forward. Personally I'd take gestures for moving back and forward in history

And when the legal department noticed the error they didn't want to go through all the hoops to get it fixed, as legally it has no meaning. Also, as we see many people seem to think that you need to update the year, so they might have done

So, Windows support then? And most mobile devices will be able to access the files through the browser, no need for a client to do that, like with Dropbox. I love the idea and the hackyness over it all. Love it!

People don't use services like EE or SO to make money, they do it because if feels good to help someone, and it's a great place to pick up and learn new stuff. Also, I think you highly overrate how much SO makes from advertisements.
