Does it do deduplication, or do I have to pay for too much storage when a large file changes just a little each day? This is why I use JungleDisk.

Thank you for the warning. Browsers should provide users with the same opt-in control over audio that they do over pop-up windows. Unsolicited audio is a scourge.

I love the innovation in this new site, and how it evokes the vinyl listening experience. However, I think it is less suitable than the old site for use at work (NSFW) because it is so colourful. A more 'bland' page like the old version wou

Loved the article when I first read it, and didn't know about the book. Thanks! PS The OP is actually an extract from this book, which I didn't see until I read to the end.

If you dig deeper on OpenBTS, the primary motivation of the project is altruistic, rolling basic coverage out in the developing world where there is no current economic incentive, or respect for IP. That's not to say that it would be disrup

Something I've heard come up in Clojure projects is StringTemplate. I haven't done this myself as Compojure does what I need. http://www.stringtemplate.org/ Example of using StringTemplate with Clojure: http://www.reddit.com/r/Clojure/co

I agree, but I think it would be possible to have proportional text aligned properly if you are working above the level of raw text, as in with sexps in paredit.

That's a good point. One really needs to balance the cheaper price against whether the diff with the latest edition is worth it.

Just so you know, you're not the only one who feels this way. There's no way you could carry that load AND a day job/family. Maybe tools like incanter will bridge the gap and let application software practitioners put this research to work.

I just ordered both Manning Clojure books for 50% ($45) off with your code. Thanks.

When I see 'Dragonfly' on HN, I think of DragonflyBSD. http://www.dragonflybsd.org/ Did you even Google the name?

You are correct. Moreover, from talking to people who work therein, I get the impression that broadcast production is full of such systems, with overengineered unhelpful software if any.

I don't want to see graphical ads with tits (I'm looking at you Evony), ripped bodies, or oral cavities (teeth whitening). All of that stuff is, just like porn, opt in. Its also why I sign new PC users up to Gmail and not Yahoo Mail. Anythi

Wow! It's not every day an open source developer gives an estimate for a future feature. I'm impressed.

Whatever you think about the rationale behind this check (I don't buy the story about electronic systems being down on a holiday either), I encourage you to read Rolling Stone's irreverent take[1] on Goldman Sach's role in this whole saga,

One of Clojure's nicest features is the seq abstraction, which lets you use almost all the data structures, from a String to a JDBC ResultSet, with a first/rest (aka car/cdr) interface.

I hadn't heard of this. It's seriously slick, the music is surprisingly good, and all I did was click on your link and started hearing music... I started apple-tabbing to find out where the hell it was coming from.
