As a 33yo in Europe who got diagnosed and prescribed medication 2 months ago I can attest that it is possible to get a prescription as an adult. I just started working again (on medication) after a 6month work break and it is so refreshing

I’m not deaf but I watch a lot of video content with no sound and only CC captions. Usually with my own music playing instead. When the CC is good it can communicate the mood of the music that is playing, sometimes it even shows the lyrics.

I’ve been playing around with code sharing options between web, mobile and desktop platforms. The idea is that the app core is written once in Rust and bindings are automatically generated to all target platforms. I have a project that star

I’m going to play with this as well since I’m learning about the whole tasks/notes space. Do you have plans to support any form of sync? Like CalDAV or some API on top of which CalDAV or another sync method can be implemented?

Amazing to play with. In light of the font size discussion from a few days ago: I would love to have a UI like this integrated into an IDE like InteliJ so I can fine tune the font rendering to my liking.

When using an external db every query needs to cross the connection boundary and thus perform network IO and deal with the threading implications for that IO. With SQLite running in-process a round trip just means a function call, and when

I know actix uses lots of generics and macros to match up your functions with varying signatures to Handlers for a request. That might be a reason why it’s slow but I don’t know enough about Rust compilation to be sure. Can’t you put the we
