Clearly they just want to be down all the time. They have the ability to throttle down traffic. I have no clue why they decide to throttle it down just enough to have the worst of both worlds, throttling and incidents. Throttle more and hav

Say you are working for said agency and your report about the dangers of AI needs some examples, what better than showing it works? You can show examples from the wild but nothing better than trying yourself. This gives me more confidence i

In some cities many coffee shops are just named after the street number. Like "68" would be very trendy of a name. Maybe this is the same.

This week I found two issues in my company codebase. After finding them I told a claude session about one and asked for a quick proof of concept demo of the exploit. It refused, including refusing simple things in the same session afterward

It's still useful to find things it can't do if anything so we can tell when it starts being able to do them.

You understand it if you think of engineering infinites rather than mathematical infinites. The capacity of a full single datacenter can be treated as infinite for most customers. I explained how its defined in the original comment. Amount

Of course there's infinite capacity. A google datacenter is infinite capacity from the perspective of say an NTP server. Infinites exist when you have enough orders of magnitude in the middle. Also traffic isolation and degradation by

Words have meaning, my sentence didn't stop where you stopped reading. The key words you're missing come right after when you stopped quoting.

When "5 years of work" take two weeks, you know two things. The estimates were wrong, and nobody will need a project management tool soon.

Reducing risk is a form of gambling. You're just betting on the "please don't" rather than the "please do". The point is always the same, you want to end up better off than others that didn't buy what you

Everyone is exposed to those so by that definition nobody would ever be gambling. I was trying to be charitable so assumed the bar was higher in the what-if.

A hammer doesn’t have a sensor to know how you are doing while you're hammering away, and it doesn't make the strike smoother to keep you hammering longer if you start seeming tired. Almost no products ever monitor you

Having "underlying risk" to something just means you invested in it before. So for you it's not a gambling as long as you... have gambled before in the other direction? Buy bunch of call options? Gambling. Buy a bunch of put

The human pilot is not an expensive part of it but it is a dangerous job and when mistakes or issues happen you lose a life you didn't need to lose. Out of all jobs to eliminate that doesn't sound so bad.

Every election should have a funny absurdist person like this absorbing all the blank and null votes to give the other candidates more incentives to convince the electorate.

I really doubt that null and \n make any sense to replace with non ascii symbols. They are both most likely already a token only and for other purposes at least \n becomes larger as a symbol.
