Wow really? I don't get why someone would be against a more accurate emulator, especially to the point of death threats. I love your work by the way.

WP7 was CE based and was fine to dev with. It's not really the same as the CE you would know though. WP8 is based on NT/Windows 8.

I had a pentium 233 and couldn't run Half Life at any playable FPS. Hell, I had to run Quake 2 at 512x384. SiN was only playable at 384x288, and looked awful.

These sort of problems crop up a lot more the larger a codebase gets and the more people working on it. Being careful with your variable naming and global scope are necessary to working well with CS.

I haven't heard that, but I don't remember much about Halo at that time. I do remember when Halo RTS was revealed, Bungie was talking about how they were sick of FPS games after Marathon and wanted to do an RTS.

God why is it so ugly. If they made it into a language that compiles into JS, it might be good, but why this?

It'd probably still be an RTS and likely never become popular. There might never have been a second Halo.

Notch is an irrational / cynical malcontent, exactly the same as the people on HN. I wouldn't be surprised if he frequents here.

He's always been childish like this, this is no different. He did provide a better explanation to one of the gaming sites, talking about how he doesn't want to put time into a platform that won't be gaming focused, but we hav

Judging from my experience with the dev kit, even on my gaming rig there was a little bit of trouble running some of the games fast enough. Your machine needs to be capable of running your game at 1080p 60fps. Not sure how the rMBP stacks u

Unfortunately no. Recaptcha implemented a new feature recently that uses some sort of data to determine whether you are a bot or not. Unless it can know you are a human, you will get the hard alphabetical ones. There is some sort of control

Recaptcha is just poor, full stop. I'm a big fan of Funcaptcha, it's much easier to solve. http://funcaptcha.co

The problem is you can't run with the DPad. You have to hold a button down to imitate it. So even with the 3DS analog stick, it'd still have the same problem. That single handily broke the game for me. It doesn't feel good to

I had a tough time installing Ubuntu on my Vaio Pro 13, but got there in the end. I had to do a lot of messing around to get the shitty UEFI implementation to read Grub. Didn't have to disable SecureBoot or do anything much to Grub, be

You can just turn it off. It's for boot virus protection. Not that it makes any difference anymore. I have Ubuntu on my laptop, didn't even have to disable secureboot to do so.

It's your dumb fault for installing a beta and expecting it to update cleanly. It's never been that way and I wouldn't be surprised if it was made clear at the download page, as it was with all the Windows 8 betas.

The change makes sense, considering no one actually adds programs from there anymore. To be honest, I don't remember a time one actually did. Still, I do miss it, even today it kinda trips me up not being able to look at the top left h
