The attack is only possible when you have untrusted devices on your local LAN. If you’re already bringing your own gateway with a VPN on it then I’m guessing untrusted LAN devices aren’t much of a concern. But if you did have something untr

Anyone have some insight into the motivation of spam bot behavior? It doesn't make sense to me that they'd intentionally re-post the same link on a story 100+ times. Perhaps repeating the same link is good for SEO farming? Or som

This title is incorrect. Citi says cutting these 7k jobs is saving them $214k/year/person in costs, but not all of that cost is salary. There’s also employee benefits, services, office space, etc. I’d guess the average salary is

I think we need to consider the context. The attacker ultimately only had control over the lzma library. I'm skeptical that there's an innocent looking way that lzma could have in the open introduced an "accidental" RCE

Like the other commenter said, edit/remove/retry messages can be implemented by the API client already. The API doesn't maintain state so every new message in a "conversation" includes previous messages as context.

Another option is dnscrypt-proxy[0]. It will easily let you load-balance your DNS queries against a large set of resolvers, ensuring that no resolver gets the full picture. And enforces encryption of course. [0] https://github.c

Apple's core argument seems to be that building out secure PWA support for 3rd party browser engines is quite onerous. Does that seem credible? Anyone have more insight that can speak to this? A short term compromise would just be to k
