There's some truth to what the gp said. Some hydrogen will escape, enter the upper atmosphere, and be blown away by the solar wind and thus be permanently lost.

Jet engines are not 100% efficient. Electric motors can be pretty close, 98% is realistic. Of course other parts of the system will lose energy, like conversion losses. Of course that doesn't mean batteries are currently a viable repla

They are just different tools; both have their uses. I wouldn't really put either above the other by default. > And it's like half the price on top of all that. It's not even close. A reel of 3,400 RP2350 units costs $0.80

IIRC, you can use up to 16 MB of PSRAM with RP2350. Maybe up to 32 MB, not sure. Many dev boards provide 8 MB PSRAM.

You seem to be confusing baud and bits per second. Baud is symbols per second. Usually one symbol represents multiple bits. AFAIK in 56k modems one symbol corresponds up to 7 bits.

Those things always confuse me. I think 2400 baud modems were like 9600 bps? At least 56k modems were 8000 baud.

When MC68030 (1986) was introduced, I remember reading how computers probably won't get much faster, because PCB signal integrity would not allow further improvements. People that time were not actually sure how long the improvements w

I sometimes wonder what the alternate reality where semiconductor advances ended in the eighties would look like. We might have had to manage with just a few MB of RAM and efficient ARM cores running at maybe 30 MHz or so. Would we still ge

Tesla uses lidar to train their models to generate depth data out of camera input. I don’t think they have any high definition maps.

Yeah. Except it's not even fixed function blocks, it's the 12 core VideoCore IV GPU running software that does the decoding. VideoCore is the real Raspberry Pi, the ARM block running Linux was just a subprocessor that VC controls.

Your mileage may vary. I remember 4 MB booting, but being absolutely useless. 8 MB was still swapping all the time, you couldn't really run much beyond some simple software. 12 MB was finally enough to do something productive, but defi
