Conbee 2 works great, much better range than what the other dongles have. The software bundled with it is also decent and quick to get started with. It got REST API too for external integration. Of course you're free to use any softwar

I think they're prepared to lose satellites, that's the nature of large swarms. Some losses might be intentional for safety after damage or low propellant. They really can't afford to put any debris on their orbits.

But amazing compared to no connection at all.

8051 might run at 12 MHz, but actual instructions run in multiples of 12 clock cycles. Realistic code on a 8051 runs only about 450k-800k instructions per second @12 MHz.

Modules that can be called chiptunes have samples that are just one waveform cycle, so the length counted in bytes, at most hundreds.

It's not that I consider samples better, but what the term 'chiptune' actually means. I do appreciate nice SIDs, AYs etc. as well, being a kid of the eighties.

Chiptune audio workstation without support for the actual short [looped] sample based chiptunes? Looks like it only support SID, AY, FM, etc. tunes. Just chiptunes missing. Don't take me wrong, still interesting. But should really get

What if we got it all the other way around? That there's a state in the future that must occur and everything else just leads into it.

Clock for clock 6502 was faster than Z80. I think 6502 was also cheaper. Of course Z80 did run at higher clock speeds. 6502 got practically 254 (6510) or 256 "registers" with zero page addressing.

Indeed. Telemetry is often used for good purposes, like improving features that cause trouble to end users and to fix crashes. I'm not saying bad actors don't exist, just that telemetry is often used for good, with no nefarious go

I can't understand why AMD leaves so much on the table. Of course their ROCm efforts have intensified, but there's still a long way to go.

Seconded. Something like 2x or 4x RP2040 with an unified bus in the same chip. Twice or four times more I/O as well.

RP2040 is a bitbanging monster with 8x PIO cores operating at clock frequency. RP2040 can even bitbang DVI easily. It can output nearly 4 Gbps at the nominal 125 MHz frequency. While a great chip ESP32 doesn't come close matching RP204

MacOS might occasionally be weird, but that definitely sounds like some kind of electrical issue, probably nothing to do with the OS.
