I think that it is good overall to support this project. CAD software that runs on most Operating Systems unlike AutoCAD. But, Training Users to use FreeCAD also matters. Also,it would be nice if FreeCAD can read/write AutoCAD files.

Ofcourse, Gecko is Open Source. There are many forks of Gecko and Firefox too. Browsers would be forked then. But,maintainance and adding features require lot of effort which is almost impractical by single dev/group without much fundi
