All the tools, copilot, claude, gemini in vscode are all completely worthless unless in Agent Mode. I have no idea why none of these tools dont default to Agent mode.

Echoing what most users have said, running frigate last 4 years. Early adopter. Cool thing is you can technically run webrtc from nest webcams via HA into Frigate. I run frigate without Home Assistant, but recently added home assistant back

Right now, requiring users to understand every field in a deployment manifest feels unnecessarily complex. Since Kubernetes YAML is already quite straightforward to copy, paste, and modify from examples, the added cognitive load of decipher

Cursor lets me try all the models with my subscription. The IDE tooling is great. I really dont like 1 line boxes like claude code has. I like to instruct my llms and and read my input. The whole 1 line box claude code gives is super annoyi

Agree HCL is terrible. K8s YAML is fine. I have yet to hit a use case that cant be solved with its types. If you are doing too much perhaps a config map is the wrong choice.

k3s is kubernetes. K8s == k3s. There is no difference. Just different distributions like linux.

I was gonna echo this. K8s is rather easy to setup. Certificates, domains, CICD ( flux/argo ) is where some completely comes in.. If anyone wants to learn more I do have a video I think is the most straight forward yet productionalized

Nit pick. Kubernetes doesnt run docker containers. It run containers that conform to the Open Container Initiative ( OCI ) . Docker is a licensed brand name.

Can you make it so I can use my existing k8 cluster? or does it have to always use your embedded k3s? It seems like if you are just using k3s it should be easy to bring your own...

Yea for sure. Thats why I dropped the term database because thats the exact scenario ( master / replica ) where pod consistency naming, dns, network etc is important for StatefulSet.

You can map a PVC back to a pod without statefulset. You just need to create the PV and PVC and map it to a deployment.

Agree. Its more confusion. PVC / PV are native to k8s not something part of statefulsets. In fact you _probably_ only need to use Statefulsets for databases. Which is probably going to be abstracted away with Operators.

Yup and trying to hack your OG jetson Nano to a later linux is very hard due to proprietary linux / nvidia firmware/drivers. Its not a matter of your are on your own for OS upgrades, it straight up wont even be able to use the GPU
