Not everything that’s been permanently lost is bad, that’s just the nature of our reality. This too shall pass. New things arise from the ashes.

The article reads a bit like those blog posts from junior developers in third world countries who are trying their hardest to prove that they’re capable developers who know what they’re doing, in order to make it out of their current situat

GP is making a joke about speaking to oneself really just being the human version of Chain of Thought, which in my understanding is an architecural decision in LLMs to have it write out intermediate steps in problem solving and evaluate the

What a pompous and annoying message you’ve written. Apple is one of the most successful businesses in the history of the world for good enough reason — providing value to customers.

I don’t think most people deny that solar is a good idea. Although isn’t it a statistic that all batteries we’ve ever manufactured would power the world for what, 15 minutes?

Having read Sapolsky’s stuff (firm recommendation for ‘Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers’), I’m under the impression that trying to eliminate chronic stress is of paramount importance for one’s health. Nowadays I’m an entrepreneur which isn’t str

I think people are wrong just about as often here as anywhere else on the internet, but with more confidence. Averaging HN comments would just produce outputs similar to rudimentary LLMs with a bit snobbier of a tone, I imagine.

As an entrepreneur, I do this often. In order to sleep better at night, I explain to myself that it’s somewhat harmless to give teasers about future content releases. If someone buys my product based on future promises or speculation, they’

Really it just does what you tell it to. Have you tried telling it “ask me clarifying questions about all the APIs you need to solve this problem”? Huge contrast to human interns who aren’t experienced or smart enough to ask the right quest
