Apple gets thousands of complaints a day. They have to do a detailed investigation or they’ll risk pulling legitimate apps. The apps can also be geofenced so the behavior doesn’t occur in Cupertino. Just because Apple doesn’t immediately re

That’s exactly what I’m taking about. You only added that after I called you out for your misleading description of Citadel.

Drug “trafficking” should absolutely be legal. While Decriminalization is laudatory and beneficial, it solves far fewer problems than outright legalization. With decriminalization: 1) drug users will still not know what they are actually co

I wrote one of the first comments about the article when it was first posted. I specifically noted the authors confusion on Citadel because the new language was not there.

So if I understand this right, Robinhood destroyed their own reputation and greatly damaged their business, not because the DTCC increased collateral requirements 30x for GME and forced them to raise a billion dollars, but because an easily

And now you are editing your blog after the fact to disguise the misleading allegations about Citadel you made.

I don’t know the specifics of Appkes refund policies, specifically how far back they go in cases like this. But I can say Apple isn’t worried about taking a loss to ensure their customers get treated fairly.

Ok lawyer. That is immaterial and off topic. Apple doesn’t know these are scam apps until reported, and after Apple can verify the allegations. And then Apple typically refunds all customers.

Apple wants developers to deliver a great experience. It’s not a review requirement. The far larger amount of scams and malware on Google Play vs the App Store clearly establishes its value proposition. Even this garden variety scam isn’t l

The binary is never changed. Apps can behave differently based on a flag set in the cloud, that’s only triggered after approval. They can behave differently based on geofencing areas, such as Cupertino. As to the point of whether review mat

It’s extremely difficult for Apple to stop apps from behaving differently during review than they do when downloaded from the App Store. A large number of developers implement schemes like this, and most aren’t scammers. Even if Apple has r

So why didn’t you detail this? And what market maker has not been fined for rule violations before? How is this pertinent? We know the DTCC raised the collateral requirements by 30x for GME. Does Ken Griffin own the DTCC too? We know Robinh

Isn’t the reality that the DTCC was forced to increase collateral requirements? You understand that if GME drops to $80 today, a large number of GME trades from last week are going to refuse to settle. What is Congress going to do? Force t

It’s trivial to create an app to pass review and turns into a scam. Far harder to create an actually good and useful app. On this example, it could have gone like this. They create a simple keypad on the watch, and some subscription screen

I guarantee Apple automatically refunds users when they ban a scam app. Any iOS user can get a refund from the App Store, they just have to ask, and the process is pretty much automated. Unfortunately few know this. I had a template email f
