But as educational tooling is that not a fault in itself? Surely we should be preparing students to at least use some mainstream languages, rather than pouring their skills and time into something that has a niche market value?

I feel as if I am missing something here, some previous reading that would make this clearer? I do not understand how the code snippet he provides is "lyrical". Any more stuff I could read on this sort of topic?

Extended reading on this? I found myself chuckling at the absurdity of this at first, and then kept reading finding out that this is actually quite a good idea. What topics would this come under? General compiler architecture?

I could similarly say only a person with a treatable illness who can afford said for-profit drugs thinks this way. 'profit-seeking is more effective and expedient' for the people that can afford it...

My main issue here would be the fact the data is being sold to a private pharma company. The 'help' you are talking about might come at a huge cost, this simply helps them develop ever more expensive drugs because they are the onl

Admittedly I am a bit of an idiot here, I didn't see the fact the person was using Firefox, the way I described it is how it is done on Chromium browsers but I cannot find a way to do it natively in Firefox (aside from downloading the

Really nice tip: Click the little keylock on the left side of the address bar when on medium, go into site settings, under javascript block it and medium articles will now load as just pure easy to read text :)

Not to pry but I would love to see an image of the belt with all of these items contained inside. Is it not utterly uncomfortable to walk around with all this equipment on your waist?

Oh oh! Another chance to ask this: What do you use _instead_ of pulseaudio? I have asked this so many times and never got a clear answer. How do I manage my audio without PA? Where can I find articles on this? I have never had a _real_ prob

Issues like these are the reason we can thrive as a community. Not playing a blame-game and offering direct feedback to a wonderful open source project. Trying to get my own company to get more involved in feedback to the open source tools

Personally I think this is a pessimistic point of view. The reason we think we can "solve" these issues is because we have been doing a good job of using tools to help us along the way of human history. If we do as you propose, wh

I agree with this very much, I already handle my phone with care in terms of making sure it isn't grabbing my attention. Having to sift through 4+ messaging apps to find conversations here and there would be a nightmare. I already have

I have been moving very much to texts. The fear usually is, though, that someone might have to pay to contact me which is not ideal. Such a shame XMPP isn't foolproof for calls
