you could probably take it even further just by making it a lot more difficult to rank the other types of domains: 1. anything that's not a .com or .org(let's face it...if it's a .net, then it's most likely bought for seo optimization) 2. t

It comes down to math. Google has 25,000 employees, and let's say 100 different projects. They have a higher percentage of engineers than most companies, so you end up with quite a large # of people on every project. Sure the guys who made

yes but I'd like a bit more justification. i.e. for a camera all it says is high quality images and touchscreen controls. I'd like something where there is literally a giant essay justifying the reasons for buying X. (i.e. even though this

no because chances are all your skills will go towards doing some mundane task. you heard of a land grab...well Google is in the process of doing a talent grab, hiring engineers left and right, so chances are unless you made a name for your

I think one of the problems is that there is just too many choices, something better would be where you just tell your budget, and are given the top 3 options in your budget.

no the power lies with the politicians...it's just too small of an issue for the general public to make it a deciding voting issue. Most people travel once a year(if that) so they don't really care about it

that seems a little excessive even at 63 million...I'd bet if you gave a YC startup $1 million, they'd be able to do the project in 1 year.

agreed, who'd be dumb enough to sign up for that...I could see doing that if that was required for actually using some app...but in this case it's just a way for them to spam your followers to promote their site

what moderation? Unverified IAMAs tend to be the I am a doctor etc...which can't be verified. The ones where it's a person, /iama/ already verifies those. Seems like this is a money grab...and at least reddit doesn't require that you allow

there are plenty of rich people who do awesome things...i.e. Bill Gates. But there are also plenty of rich people who only think of themselves and growing their bank accounts. It comes down to a person...if you'd care about others when you

frankly I don't see why they need to make it so big. Weight is one of the biggest problems for fuel efficiency, it takes a ton more juice to move a 4,000lb car vs a a 3,000lb car.

yeah it's ridiculous. i.e. you just used the term "software" on the internet, if we applied the patent law for software to that, you'd be found guilty of infringing. what I'd like to see is a community effort by programmers to create an arb

that's pretty much the main reason I don't use Groupon etc, if you are so desperate as to use a groupon to promote your business and get raped with all those fees, then chances are the quality of the service will be extremely subpar. that's

what do you need a $10K apartment in NYC for? That's pretty much penthouse territory. I mean I can see if you are already making millions...but if you are just a startup that should be a big red flag to investors.
