If payment is based on the ratings user give to the applications, wouldn't the "second rate" applications not make any income? Also, it's opt-in - nobody says a developer has to participate.

That was one of the best product videos I've seen. Engaging, with enough hints to what it does to make you want to download it.

Do you have a personal 401k setup? I only have a IRA, and the contribution limit kills me. Curious if anyone has setup a 401k for themselves, and the overhead associated.

Love the new skin - still has a wireframe feel, but looks much cleaner.

The article mentions some ways they plan to catch bogus data, but I agree that I'm a bit skeptical they can make it work consistently.

Initially, I used the sublime build system for doing grunt builds as well. However, I've migrated towards using 'grunt watch' instead. Running your build on every file modification is pretty great. Combined with the SublimeLinter package, i

I have one of the new retina MBP's and have had no such issues. In fact I've been a bit surprised at how hard it holds at times.

Job listings in select cities cost money, I believe that's their only source of income.

Agreed. What WOULD be helpful is a service that would look for an avatar on various services, and serve the first one it finds. So if a user doesn't have a gravatar, it looks up their facebook based on their email - and uses that avatar, th

Felix Salmon had a very interesting video on just this subject, and how Broadway has solved this problem with the TKTS booths: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cw-bqtpMZs&feature=playe...

These posts are fascinating. In college I minor'd in econ, and I always had this feeling that economics grossly simplifies things, so it's fascinating seeing how economic principles play out in a world where there is such control over all t

I was in the exact same situation, unfortunately. Had everything built out, with a final nagging notFound error. No response for two weeks, tried twitter, email, phone - nothing. Eventually I learned of their acquisition issues when Sean re

I was in the process of integrating Samurai myself. Luckily, I hadn't yet launched and was able to switch over to Braintree. Thus far I've been really happy with Braintree. The part that I find really offensive is - they're still taking new

Looks great. Currently in the process of building a new application using Postmark, will certainly evaluate a switch. The pricing certainly blows Postmark out of the water.

Agreed - I'm in the same boat. A 500 dollar premium for a a larger SSD is steep, when I'm not particularly interested in the faster proc. Yes, I could use an external HD, but I really don't like having to carry around more than I absolutely

Do you have an ETA on when you will be able to provide support again? It seems a bit crazy to allow new account registrations when you have no ability to actually support those customers, and there is zero mention of the application status

I just finished building out a 271 interface for medicare and emdeon - the error rate is higher than I'd like, but isn't terrible. Response rates are typically under 20 seconds for us... For claims, we're using http://x12parser.codeplex.co

Agreed. I use 16px icons in my projects. Comparing these icons to the Glyphicons I'm using currently, the glyphicons are vastly more clear, especially at the smaller size.
