Thoughts on photography when it first appeared: "Not by the taking of a picture of any specific object, but by the way in which any random object could be made to appear on the photographic plate. This was something of such unheard-of

I had to briefly go back to Windows and I just couldn't understand how anyone serious can run an OS that just decides to reboot itself in the middle of the night.

If your competitor has a 5-year lead, and is working as hard as you are, or harder, then you are not gonna catch up any time soon. Also yes networking.

I work on multiple projects. While waiting for one response, I write the prompt for the next project. It's not perfect. Context switching is costly. And sometimes I zone in and forget to pipeline the prompts and have to wait longer tha

I don't think selling a useless product for ridiculous amount is a problem for Apple. I do think that selling an ugly product is a problem for Apple.

Sure. But "liquidation events" are not the events that give you the wins. The point of angel is to get in while the company is cheap. Dilution is part of the math.

Human perception is essentially 2D+depth. Shouldn't we be feeding the transformers 2D data? Like a convolution front-end? Instead of tokenizing images, shouldn't we be rendering texts?

It's pretty common I think. A thing is useful, but not intrinsically interesting (not anymore). So.. "let's move on"? Also, burn out is possible.

When reading, I often take a photo and ask GPT something about the text. I found myself doing this more and more. I'd love to be able to just "point and click" with AR glasses and will happily pay for just this feature.

When I switched from Android to iOS, this was one of the things I missed a lot: the ability to write my own app and side load it on my phone. Even more so with the advent of LLM. Oh well, now I don't have to worry about that.
