When I did a roadtrip with a rented PHEV I just charged every night with the power plug. It’s kinda pointless since PHEV battery range is like what, 50km.

Not sure why this is downvoted. The entire value proposition of Android is the semi-open OS. For things you can’t do with Apple devices, you use the myriad of Android devices out there. A locked-down Android is pointless.

Microsoft don’t sell OS now. They sell their services using Windows as a platform. Naturally Windows is going to stagnate.

Unwarranted worries. I keep the fob in my pocket all the time, the car will keep running without the fob. Also usually these systems have incar fob detection. Mine will refuse to lock if it senses the fob is inside the car.

I watched that as a kid and absolutely loved it. Not sure what warranted the bad reviews. It’s very sci-fi but felt “grounded”.

It’s only expensive if you’re paying the AWS, GCP tax. They’re stupid expensive for simple file hosting, and for no good reason.

Open source the mess and hope someone else picks up the tab. I hope nobody contributes to this, MSFT is a multi billion dollar company and they can afford to fix it themselves.

Saving grace is that it’s possible to sideload or use an alternative App Store. Android has matured past a point of diminishing return, you can stay on an Android version 6 versions behind and not miss anything.

You know, if Intel didn’t sell that business and failed anyway, I bet people would say Intel lost focus and should’ve focused on their moat (x86).

An LLM is like a jackhammer, it works very well when you hold it tightly. If you let it loose it will sort of work for a while then it starts destroying everything around it.
