It's a matter of aesthetics, but you're still in a for loop. In the Clojure code you have assigned user to a variable and are out of the "loop".

Tough questions without also building rapport is also bad. I've had some interviews where they asked tough questions and I got a job offer but I declined because I felt there was no rapport or interest in my career.
