I don't agree. The sorts of games that are microsoft-exclusive are mostly big-name high-performance titles, not the sort of casual free-to-play minimal-intensity stuff that's possible with HTML5. Javascript is nowhere near performant enough

No worries; if idiosyncratic spaghetti frameworks like PHP are your thing, then it'd be a very good idea for you to avoid .net mvc

PHP is a sane alternative to ASP? Do you mean ASP.net written in VB, or using webforms or something? I take it you haven't actually experienced firsthand the glaring inconsistencies and bizarre behaviour present in PHP's core language featu

You might be pleased to know that game has been remade on Xbox Live Arcaade already, and is great fun! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jetpac_Refuelled

Consider that LHC cost only a fraction the ridiculous amount of money wasted each year on war. It justifies it's cost merely by it's existence, increasing fascination in understanding, instead of destruction.

I just find this really funny, and refer to MS as such: http://brog.engrish.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/michaelso...

People say this? In a not totally forced way?

It's fairly clear to me, from the rushed event, to the complete lack of specs and the hands-off demo approach, that Surface is very much a Beta product at this stage. It's disappointing, but I can understand why Michaelsoft would want to ke

I think Matthew Inman put it best: "It's interesting to watch a man with his dick in a hornet's nest try to solve the problem by tossing his balls in as well."

I'd expect to see at least the pro variant in the ipad-laptop price range, since it fills the role of both a laptop and a tablet.

Absurd. Why not "Camera!", or something that can actually be pronounced, and that, you know, makes -sense-?

I find it really ironic that - thanks to Mono - C#, a Michaelsoft language, seems to be the only true multiplatform lanugage these days.
