Having driven Land Rovers in the form of series, defender and discovery, I wouldn’t hose one out either. The upholstery rots and stinks and the fittings go rusty too. If you’re doing wading and off road stuff you need to tear the entire gut

I love how Apple just releases these things out of the blue. If it was Microsoft they’d be crowing about it loudly on blogs for 6 months before then underdeliver a broken pile of crap.

Good on you Europe. Here in the UK we are heavily investing in rail replacement busses at the moment.

You can add keyboard shortcuts to do that in settings if you really want it. It still does that. If you run apps in full screen mode it gives you a rudimentary tiling workspace on each desktop with a tiled app on it. Just long press on the

I would have just quit if I had that landed on me.

This is a story as old as time. When you’re used to something else the change hurts. I have found it far better to not bring your mental baggage with you and meet the new platform as its level rather than try and make it the same as the old

I would love to listen to that call. There’s nothing that makes me happier than the fearsome squealing noises that enterprise sales drones make when you drop the sales equivalent of a Paveway IV on their pitch. My favourite one was running

Same situation. Absolutely no one even knew this was happening and doesn’t give a shit now because it’s a project death march. JIRA as a whole has been a fucking shit show of a product over the last decade even on-prem.

It’s not about parts but raw materials. It’s far more expensive to import materials, make parts and assemble post import than assemble everything at source and then export it.

I know someone who was selling an electronic module on Tindie. One day sales went through the floor. Turned out someone had cloned his entire product and was shipping volume on aliexpress. He just closed up shop. I myself have spent weeks n

I wouldn’t bother. I ran a successful-ish non computing hobby related related blog for about 7 years and all it really did was add noise, obligation and expectation to my life. It added very little if any value. On some days it was depressi

That's a terrible causal relation. Run a KT decision analysis. The iPad will never come out as the device you actually end up writing code on if you're honest with yourself.
