I would assume that 3.12 would be used instead since it's the latest long-term stable release of the kernel.

While this is true, I have the same feeling as jmnicolas since Linus released version 3. I guess it's because of the new release numbering scheme. Let's not forget that we had 2.6 for close to 8 years!

I see no reason why flashblock would not work with this. If the embed is has a swf extension then it will be blocked.

What exactly do you mean "it can be used"? Do you mean "can it be delivered"? The answer to both questions is yes, you can order from the UK store and it will be delivered and it will work.

In theory it is being auto-updated every X weeks (not sure if it's 6). There is also a setting to update immediately when a new release is available which is on on the developer phones. In practice there is a bug[1] and this functional

It's a really great surprise that the only comment[1] in this thread is what I was about to comment. Let me repeat it: Read "Logicomix". Bonus: If you are into it, study the characters' life (Russell, Whitehead, Wittgenstein, Frege, Godel).

K-Meleon[1] also provides an option to turn off tabbed browsing. Just go to Edit > Preferences > Browsing > Tabbed Browsing and uncheck the "Enable Tabbed Browsing" checkbox. NOTE #1: K-Meleon's last update was 3 years ago. NOTE

Same with pentadactyl. However with CTRL+z you can temporarily disable pentadactyl (I think it's the same shortcut in vimperator) until you press ESC. If the developer is here and wants a workaround there is a way to make the game work with

An image extension can be one of many formats (png, jpg, gif etc). The format is important here because the application that will open it (the image viewer for example) needs to be able to understand it[1]. The README is a simple plain text

There are quite a lot of linux distros that run (or can run) from ram ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Linux_distributions_th... ). I've used porteus( http://porteus.org/ ) and slax( http://www.slax.org/ ) and although the experience

An ugly hack for #2 is to run "firefox -no-remote -private -ProfileManager". This will pop up a new session of firefox that is in private mode. However, you will have to choose a profile other than the one you are currently using.

I have similar configuration. Fedora 64Bit, chromium and gmail work fine. No plugins for chromium, no sync, only a gmail tab is open. I use firefox for everything else. This bug seems interesting!

My solution is to create various profiles for my different browsing needs. I have my "webdev" profile which has a lot of web development extensions including firebug, I also have my "main" profile for most browsing, the "wastetime" profile

There is really no need for the equipment that these guys use (or seem to be using). A simple name search at pipl.com yields quite impressive results.

Actually in my experience ExtJs is one of the best libraries/frameworks* [1]. It has a steep learning curve* [2] but after that you can build awesome applications quite fast. * [1] : library based on the author's definition and framework ba

My dark side is thinking of a virus, let's call it YouGoToJail, that encrypts a file (say with gunpg - 4mb and works on all OSes) with a random very long password. The virus then deletes all traces to itself. You go to jail!

Salted password hashing plain and simple: Rule 1: Use a Modern Hash Algorithm (bcrypt, PBKDF2, scrypt) Rule 2a: Use a Long Cryptographically Random Per-User Salt Rule 2b: Have an additional 'system' salt that is a fixed value for the entire
