A couple of interesting points: - "Compare Places" -> "Compare States" shows consequences for officers involved. - The 10 highest rated police departments in CA are in Tracy, San Mateo, Carlsbad, Palo Alto, Tustin, Es

OT. I am surprised that the LaTeX name didn't end up in a heated argument between Don Knuth and Leslie Lamport, like the infamous GNU/Linux vs Linux dispute between Stallman and Torvalds. Maybe scientists are more civilized, maybe

That is mostly, but not entirely true. If one's Netflix account is deactivated for more than 10 months, they lose their history, preferences and personalized results.

I used an STK2M364CC. CPU usage never seems to go above 50%. Control is still a pain, but one way to change effects on the fly is to use rtpMIDI and TouchDAW on a phone.

At 48KHz the setup can sustain 128-entries buffers, or <3ms. Sound travels at about 1ft per sec, so this is the equivalent of hearing an amp that is <3 feet afar. I cannot perceive the latency. The AmPlug I/O has a 3.5mm headphon

I have played with guitarix in the past, and having looked at some of its tube amp simulation code, I have great respect for the amount and quality of work that has gone into it. That said, in my opinion, its modeling capabilities are not o

I use it exclusively for programming. An 8k monitor is not a necessity, by any stretch: A good, large 4k monitor is more than enough for coding. I'd rather not voice an opinion about graphics or video usage because I don't know ab

while you can indeed swap in-place for PODs [1], this is not true for c++ objects. Also, in-place swapping is not sufficient for in-place sorting. [1] example: int a, b; a ^= b ^= a ^= b;

quicksort is not stable. the disadvantage of classic mergesort is that it needs to copy elements out of the input array, although there exist (slower) in-place variations.

If you are hashing k unique elements, N=2lg(k) is a good rule of thumb for sizing your hash functions. A Birthday Attack [1] analysis provides the exact collision probabilities for arbitrary (k, N). [1] https://en.m.wikipedia.org
