Ugh, shut up, nobody cares. Hey, maybe start taking care of your God-awful rendering engine and CPU cycles instead of wasting time on stuff like this?

Cool, always glad to read an article on design from a company that barely understands it.

Holy shit, are you implying that everything in the post about direct complicity in wiretapping, war crimes, lying to the American public, killing of civilians, and torture is just being another Republican? Because that's the only way y

I fail to see how it's a black-list if the means of ejection is extremely public and based on pure market motivation? Conservatives with awful views tend to get "freedom of speech" and "freedom from social and business c

I could see how you'd think this is purely political, but it isn't necessarily. Everything the post brought up is pretty antithetical to the ethics of most of Silicon Valley and startup culture in general. Sure, many Republicans m

Er, isn't this the opposite of a metaphor? A metaphor would be the name of a famous prison escape, not a famous prison itself.

Well, count me outside that norm too. I work in a pretty corporate environment and nobody here uses Microsoft stuff. In fact, I've never worked anywhere where the vast majority of people weren't on a Mac.

Guys, it's just a HUGE COINCIDENCE that the Dilbert guy is a big fat conservative who already believes that the rich are literally persecuted.

Personally, I don't think you can simultaneously use tons of plugins and also complain about being forced to include jQuery. If you don't have the time to roll your own, then you probably don't have the time to prototype Arra

This is a really neat idea, more power to you for making this. It's a little slow/choppy in Safari though. Maybe you can use transforms instead for supported browsers?

Jeez I hate sounding like such a fanboy but here goes. They switched because IBM's only option they provided Apple for the future of their laptop line was just straight up embedding G5s into PowerBooks. This wasn't really feasible

You really don't think that the iMac was a crazy influential product? Even by computer nerd standards that we have, a 1024x768 display and USB-only ports were a very bold move that changed a lot. Not to mention the design of the damned

This literally looks like a Medium.com theme for Wordpress, and if I'm not mistaken there's a lot here that a solid frontend developer could do in their sleep. Many have done more spec work and not asked for crowdfunded money to p

Similar in NYC. I remember an interview where I was asked to bit-shift in Javascript, for the sake of itself. I've also had good experiences though--I liked one where I had to build certain UI components and get my code evaluated in re

The artwork is good--but wow, the animation and execution are pretty underwhelming for something featured on Adobe. Edit: In the interest of not being a negative prick, this is something by the same developer that I love: http://

I guess this is what passes for "design" for people balls-deep in PHP engineering. The old one was at least quaint/retro, this is just kinda "babby's first blog design".

Close the thread everybody, a token woman just invalidated the whole thing. No misogyny in tech. Also one time a black dude said "what racism? lol" so there's no racism.

Sure, there's general misogyny and all that, but just browse the rest of this thread if you don't think that the tech industry has a disproportionate amount. HN is one of the worst offenders, as a matter of fact. I agree that it&#

Literally everything the author states is Very Wrong, or a symptom of only noticing bad implementations. The most frustrating part is that they are coming from the perspective of responsive design only being used for mobile, which is super,

Social justice is not a factor for most people when designing a frontend architecture. My heart goes out to those running IE6 on Windows Me, but I'm not going to let the minority oppress the majority for my app I'm building.

People who are actually concerned about exposing their amazing Javascript and CSS to the world probably don't have very amazing code to begin with.
