You don't have to use flag package from the stdlib, there a are plenty of others, eg: https://github.com/jessevdk/go-flags

I had the exact same thought. The Go community is the only one (i know), where such discussions are rare. Write your code, run "go fmt", add, commit.

Hmm, they have issues with dependency handling and 3rd party libraries. Go doesn't have a gem/pip/cpan/npm/... like ecosystem, instead you import git/mercurial repos directly. This is pretty nice for rapid development and to test things out

Maybe... What are doing with your SPDY server? I had no problems with parallel GET requests, but there was no way to do parallel XHR file uploads, which works pretty well without SPDY.

Also is there a decent MSSQL library for Go yet? You will find some here: http://godoc.org/?q=mysql http://go-lang.cat-v.org/pure-go-libs EDIT: I just realized that you asked for MSSQL libs and not MySQL. Sorry, those links wont help

I ran into this bug after enabling spdy in nginx and had to disable it. https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=161751 Don't know, if it is a nginx thing, but all browsers had problems.

Add --with-http_spdy_module to the configure flags in your PKGBUILD. But expect problems with parallel XHR file uploads in all major browsers.
