I have a paper sheet full of complicated passwords on the wall near my computer. The access to my flat is protected by a very good physical key.

The non associativity of addition is obvious, but for the multiplication, I understand why it does not give always the same answer, but I do not see why a change of the order could change the accuracy.

I fully agree. IMHO scala has one problem: the compiler slowness. It is really a marvellously designed language.

I can play go (I am 1kyu). The game against crazy stones is really impressive. I feel that Ishida played at his best level against crazy stones and that crazy stones would not have won if it hasn't found the marvellous move 52. In the

Removing read access gives an illusion of security. To avoid this false impression, it is better to leave the permissions.

Ada is not a mess. C89 was not a mess. Almost all languages become a mess when the become older or when standard committees are involved. For C++ it was a mess very early. After C++98, it was an awful mess of compiler incompatibilities. Str

I have exactly the same complaint for the Go language. The game of go is famous enough (the new Drosophila of AI), to not reuse its name.

CNIL is probably the single office in French bureaucracy that understand internet. The problem is that it is alone and has no support from government and has very reduced means of action.

Word 2002 is still the standard where I work mainly because of the insane UI change of Microsoft. Why would LibreOffice copy Microsoft when its main compelling advantage over Microsoft is to avoid this mess ?

Older macs were more robust. I think this is one reason of the failure of apple against microsoft: when you have a computer that enables you to do your stuff without problems or failures, you do not need to replace it by a new one. Microsof
