Great answers again. Sorry you didn't get more exposure from this HN post, sounds like you've got a good idea where you're going and how to get there, and it's an interesting area you're working on. I'll look forward to hearing more when yo

As a consumer why would you care about the route content takes from producer to consumer? The only thing that matters is the content and how you consume it. If iFlow offered a better way to consume it then you should be happy to get it from

Thanks for the reply - good answers. I'm in the UK so location matters a lot to me, I'm also not really looking for new opportunities at the moment, but I thought it would be useful for you to see the kind of questions that I would expect t

How do you differ from Color? Where are you based? How many are on your team? Are you funded? What are the other team members backgrounds? Those are the questions I'd be asking if I was interested.

to my mind, it's less about the language and much more about the server architecture. Squid caching proxies, memcache, which db to use (mySQL, noSQL etc), etc. The actual dev framework is just a matter of taste and experience. It's the serv

We're seriously considering sproutcore for our next web project. Personally I'm a little uneasy about investing so completely. I mean it's nothing like jQuery or other libraries where you just sprinkle it here and there, it's an entire deve

If your product can do XYZ, and XYZ fills a need in a genuine user, then get it to market now. By the time you've finished ABC, you'll have existing users to sell to. Or you'll have learned things you don't right now about your market, with

This is a genuine use-case, and worth considering. Perhaps a hide-by-default policy, but each page has a link you can click to show points on that page. The extra manual step will mean that most people won't bother unless they have a need t

One thing I'll say is that if 'without points' is kept, please change the arrow UI. It's now impossible to tell if you accidentally downvoted someone. I like it sans-points over-all though.

This page is responsible for a lot of FUD. So many people take it to mean, in effect, "Firebug makes Firefox slower". When in fact it means "Firebug makes Firefox slower to start up". This page says nothing about the performance impact once

Thanks, yeah I think proxying is the best solution. I'm still not sure if that's a route I want to go down though... The nasty stuff served through my server is what I want to avoid. Gifexplode became quite popular on 4chan you see...
