Meanwhile you can use ownCloud - http://owncloud.org/ Still not perfect, little bit more work needed to install the server part, but it works, is opensource, you can access your files over web browser (mobile apps on the way), new version

Seems there is some kind of ECMA testing for this, they had the disk at 80 degrees Celsius and 80 % humidity for equivalent of 160 years at normal conditions. Dont ask me more, this is all there was to it in this article: [czech] http://te

I believe this deserves some attention. This is a company based in Czech Republic (Europe) which manufactures and sells DVD-R discs based on metal-ceramic recording layers for long term data storage and archival use. The product was tested

I am a bit confused with the pricing of retrieval. Could some good soul tell me how much would cost to: Store 150 GB as one big file for 5 years. To this I will add 10 GB (also as one file) every year. And lets say I will need to retrieve t

I am looking into dropbox alternatives, and from the above I chose to try owncloud and aeorofs. 1. Tonido is out of the game, because the file syncing is limited (2 GB) so it is useless for me. 2. OwnCloud looks very good. I am going to try

Is the app opensource? Looks really nice and I thing it would be great learning app for the c# libraries you used, e.g. to see how you use the reactive extensions..
