I use preprocessor macros for what I guess I'll call "hyper-local extraction" in an attempt to be as DRY as possible. I don't know how modern C++ would handle this better. It looks a bit like this: #define a_ frob(

This is perfect because I was just feeling that C++ wasn't already obfuscated enough.

I've been writing C code kind of like this using* Vim's "conceal" feature for years. E.g. http://superjer.com/lies/unicode-code-code-code.png I would NOT go back. This, however, seems like a bit muc

I don't know what Flipboard is, but I can't remove it from my phone, and therefore I want it to die.

Now suppose that it doesn't stop. Suppose it can't stop. Suppose no mathematical system is sufficient to describe any universe. It's always just a rough approximation. Either could be true, I guess.

I know the author claims that there's a meaningful similarity beyond the names. But that's where I disagree. I get that a NULL pointer is in some meaningful way not a pointer. Because it literally isn't pointing to anything

I thought the jab at Javascripters was an invite for assholes like me but [WARNING] [CAUTION] ALERT: no it wasn't.

OK, man. Chill out a little. I actually enjoyed the article, just not as much as I like poking fun at C++. Clearly I went too far, and I apologize to you and the rest of the planet.

I completely disagree with the premise. The more I learn the less clever my code is. Coming up with a simple, straight forward solution is what shows true skill. Not cleverness -- not what people usually mean by "clever" code anyw

Oh look another C++ article about tricky, clever nonsense with no general application at all.

This makes me wonder what crazy stories my cleaners have dreamed up about me. I mean, I have allergy meds in the bathroom and sometimes I have a big party before cleaning day, so there are a lot of dirty dishes and food containers. I also h
