Huh? First off citing yourself isn't an elaboration. Second if you are arguing that one-time-pads don't work / won't work in modern times that goes against our entire understanding of certain bits of cryptography. You&#x

I'm 100% concerned that this post was AstroTurf'd to the front of HN given the negative article posted against Lambda hours before. This managed to hustle up in less than 15 minutes and kept climbing.

I'm disappointed in you HN. The downvoting behavior over just discussing the facts of a codebase or industry is unacceptable and unbecoming. Your feelings of how software licensing should be does not matter here.

1) The sarcasm isn't appreciated here on HN. 2) Not everything in the FOSS world is GPL'd. 3) There are plenty of users who have this restriction in their work and it is a real restriction to be aware of when discussing tooling. 4

Quick reminder that ShellCheck is licensed under the strict GNU GPL 3.0 license. For many professionals your employer will often block / avoid GPL code, tools, and libraries.

Right, I have never seen this used against any major corporation ever. This "rule" was also approved and jammed through by the same lobbyists that protect DMCA abusers. It's all smoke and mirrors to trick people into thinking

For me local radio, like KEXP in Seattle, is how I find new and exciting music I might not have listened to otherwise. It has become my go-to channel for when I want something on.

This really didn't make things any less confusing. If anything else, I'm more confused by just a massive spam of product tiles as the first thing I see. It feels like I misclicked an ad in my Google search and ended up at a knock-

You just can't rely on Google for long term services any more. That memo was just the final nail the GCP coffin. Google wouldn't care a second about you, so why should you give them your business?

It will be difficult for Boeing to walk back the public opinion of the 737 MAX for what they have done. I know plenty of airline customers who intend to never fly a segment that utilizes one.

E-mail newsletters announcing new features or options are not "coercing" you to do anything. You clicked it, failed to know the ramifications of 2FA (which GitHub does spell out), and didn't secure your backup codes. Take som

Go ahead and add reddit into the mix as well. It's starting to be really concerning only a few people control these important discussion and meeting places, and exercise (often) power abuse from such a position to push their agenda. Hi

Echo's listen for their wake word, which is done on device and offline. It detects the wake word, and then connects to the internet. It is not actively transmitting in the background. If you have proof of echo devices not doing this, y
