>At the end of the day, though, JavaScript is the language of the web. And when webassembly arrives that will be over, and Typescript will be deprecated. I can't wait for a better modern language like Haskell, Python, Livescript, et

It buys you a proper modern language that even the creator of Javascript praises. It prevents bugs because it's a better language than Javascript in many ways. Just write a few projects in it and you'll see for yourself. Functions

My apps don't fail at runtime because of type errors, at least, not that I remember. It really baffles me how many people need Typescript to avoid having type errors at runtime, what the hack are they doing wrong then? This is not C++,

I really don't understand why some developers are so happy with Typescript. Javascript was already years ago highly improved with transpilers like Coffeescript, Livescript etc.. IMHO this whole Babel, ES5, ES6, ES7, ES???, Typescript t

I doubt there is a working model, but The Venus Project by Jacque Fresco is very inspiring, moving towards a resource based economy. Our current economy is flawed to the extent that it will destroy us if we don't replace it with someth

Its the "economy" and the lack of vision and vigor of politicians to change it. As long as our policies and laws are still in favor of the economy we are doomed.

What is this problem in the Javascript landscape to keep forcing developers to do things differently, with the penalty of your app not working anymore if you don't comply? I mean, creating a new type of brush for painters is ok, but I

haha, totally happy for you guys enjoying Promises, it apparently works for you and that's what counts. I also enjoy refactoring callback code, only without the use of Promises, because I don't prefer them to compose and create a

Better never use Promises at all, it is no solution for a problem, instead it makes code only more ambiguous IMHO. And indeed mixing it with callbacks or async libraries makes it even worse.. I've once had a very nasty bug keeping me b

Most striking for me is not only access to your documents, but also: >events generated by the operating system, and your "inking and typing data." Sounds like a key logger virus, but then built-in the OS? Is this for real?

Most annoying is the need to write in ES6/Babel today, and all these js hipsters that really believe this is the future of web development. I totally hate Babel with it's dozens of Webpack patches/plugins to make it work. Oh,
