I've done Nand2Tetris, I think you will get far more bang for your buck in a shorter amount of time playing Turing Complete than taking that course. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1444480/Turing_Complete&#

Prolog has reached an exciting new milestone with Scryer prolog. It is the first highly performant open source iso-compliant Prolog. I would check out Markus Triska's work to have your mind blown: https://www.metalevel.at&#

Tangential, but this is the first time I've seen the valediction "Handwritten by". Fascinating statement in the age of AI. Think I'm gonna steal that.

(*YMMV*) For some of you suffering for tinnitus, if you came here looking for a hack, I can offer a small tinnitus hack that worked for me, and may work for you if you find a noise that "cuts" the tinnitus sound. This summarizes

I tell you what nialv7 I feel ya. Not only that, it makes me wonder how many great things have gone unnoticed. Partly why I'm glued to HN is bc how on earth do you find these gems otherwise??

Now THAT is some hacker news!! Great job and great science. Also shout out to nialv7 for some early hacking on the subject.

Couldn't agree more. How about this -- I think we've already reached AGI. Let me know if this tracks: Pick a set of tasks that can be considered AGI tasks. Provided the task sequences can be compared as closer to AGI or further f

Technical foul. Doing science based on closed-source model. 10 yard penalty for humanity. GPT-4 almost disappeared last week. Aside from the obvious AI bus factor and "continuity of science" concerns, I find it absurd that so ma

It started in April and got progressively worse. By June it got so bad I couldn’t sleep any more and had trouble coding and kinda flirted with a nervous breakdown. Feel really lucky to have stumbled across this little hack.

I noticed the relief immediately when I heard that noise, so if it doesn’t, might be worth shopping around for a tinnitus scrubber sound that works for you. The gentleman who made that noise in the link I posted makes many others. My tinn

Not that loud, actually. With the bone conduction headphones you hear the sound “inside your brain”, which is convenient bc that’s where I hear the tinnitus too. I turn it up a little when I get “flashbangs”, but for the most part the pat
