Very nice, I always enjoy some low-level discussion like this. I found a small typo/editing glitch on the "RISC-V 101 page" [1]: - It's a trending CPU ("Instruction Set Architecture") recent years. It should

Well, kinda, there are still fees for things like the right to use the various USB logos and of course to allocate a vendor ID [1] ($3,500 for two years, and $6,000 respectively). [1]: https://www.usb.org/getting-vendor-id

LEDs are surface-mount [1] and handled by pick-and-place machines [2], so I don't think they are particularly time-consuming to assemble. [1]: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surface-mount_technology [2]: https:&#x

This looks really nice and the prose had a positive/easy-going feel to it. When the actual code examples begin, the very first couple of lines confused me: package hellope import "core:fmt" Is the quoting of pac

As someone with both feet in the embedded development world, reading this from 1995 is fun: Note that even the RS232 port itself is a standard. And an inferior one; sending stuff at 9600 baud over a 7 wire connection is a travesty by mode

I had never heard of this, and the repo doesn't provide a lot of background ... it seems to be a handheld (!) pen with interactive point-for-audio features, for 2+ year-olds. Here [1] is the Ravensburger product page in German and here

Really? Wow. I had no idea, and I really tried to sound non-condescending. I simply don't agree that redundant casts are something to be ignored, since they can be harmful and hide actual errors (the cast is a bit like `sudo make me

Aha, so it doesn't know about void* being compatible with all (object) pointers, but so far just requires the pointers to match exactly? I see. Not sure why I was down-voted, I think that is ... not nice. :(

Very cool, congratulations! I took a 2-second peek at the code, and just wanted to offer a small piece of advice that I think makes it better. Or two, really. Counting is hard. Instead of (this is from parser.c): apply_result *ret = (

It was in C#, not C. In C they are not standardized but there are requirements on relative sizes. Since C99 we also have `int32_t` and friends that expose sizes.

Norway for sure, they have been in NATO since they helped found it in 1949. Us Swedes needed a while to think about it, and joined on March 7, 2024. Sweden does not have the F-35, since we build our own [1] multi-role military aircraft. [1]
