I wish the information was more accessible/current. The SourceForge stuff dates back to 2016, and the website linked here may as well have been written in the 90s. Are there any modern takes on this? Anyone still using it?

Programming language dev is quite common. I've been cataloging various languages on r/altprog on Reddit. This particular one seems to have influences from several other languages (quite a few use "fn" for function declar

Apparently there are two versions of the 4060Ti, with 8GB and 16GB of VRAM respectively. I've got an 8GB 3060 that runs gemma2:9b nicely, and that will parse PDF files; gemma3:4b also seems to analyze PDFs decently.

I'm using open-webui at home with a couple of different models. gemma2-9b fits in VRAM on a NV 3060 card + performs nicely.

This looks like an almost pure Golang program, but still has a Ruby dependency. Is there a component/library that Ruby provides, that Go doesn't have? Or some other logic going on?

Nim might be useful, either as a compiler or transpiler. https://hookrace.net/blog/introduction-to-metaprogramming-in... https://livebook.manning.com/book/nim-in-action/chapter-9/

As the founder of r/altprog on Reddit (been following random languages for 12 years now), my favorite "alt" language is Nim. It feels like Python & Javascript had a baby that was C++. Wish it had lambda operators like C#

I think your experience may be different than others. A lot of people are skeptical of, or can't afford, medical interventions in chronic issues and serious illness. You had anti-vaxxers posting stuff like how the shot was going to mak

I think part of why the shots became so controversial, is because the disease adapted anyway. You're basically having to decide on "less bad" vs "roll the dice" when you inevitably get COVID. People were already nee

Looks promising, but I'm hard-pressed to think the $40/individual price point is reasonable. $10-20?

This preceded https://www.inklestudios.com/ink/ by a few years; that's a system of writing narratives based on choice selections and variable tracking, and embeddable into game engines.

A lot of single-family housing burned in the fires. For the sake of density, we need to put in more apartments, and ones that don't cost $3-4K/mo for a 1-2 bed. Metro is expanding ahead of the Olympics, and Waymo services a decent

A colleague informed me of this. However, I can't immediately tell from the article if there's a way to verify whether a router has been compromised.

The demo website at https://hlorenzi.github.io/customasm/web/ makes this even more accessible. I can actually follow along as to how this works.

Based on the other comments here, a better title might be "Unvetted code change triaged in Linux 6.13". Not as sexy, but accurate?

I can make an opposite claim on immigrants: those wealthy enough to clear the bar of entry, have more incentive to cheat on their future taxes to maintain their lifestyle. Though it sounds like the real issue is probably "getting paid

Weirdly enough, my apartment complex doesn't render in this; the surrounding buildings and the pool are rendered, though. I verified the data on OSM, which is even more mystifying. On the other hand, the kiddo's school isn't

I can't even find the New Scientist article that supposedly backs this up.

Speaking to that, the most played song on Spotify, ever, is "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd. Came out 5 years ago, and it's "okay"; funny enough, it triggers a lot of 80s nostalgia with its instrumentals. So, there&

There are still patriarchal abstinence-only programs in a considerable part of the US; so that can be affecting attitudes some. But also; with increased awareness of queer and asexual personalities and relationships, and emphasis on consent

I've messed around with Bibisco, and that's a way more advanced writing tool. I think the purpose of this is simply "I want to write", vs being worried about structure and development at a higher-level detail.

Is it just me, or is the public git repo devoid of anything that'd actually run this program? And what's with the big social media push on its main page?
