A hidden gem of WinRar is that the internal file viewer can open multi gigabit text files faster than many editors.

imho, just to let you know, I think the original title, more than being baity, it clearly describes a growing sentiment when using the never ending list of AI tools. The prompt is important and not being able to see it, we cant tell if cou

My ccTLD gives me much more confidence than some random company that rents TLDs governed by who knows. It's provided by my ISP which is owned by the state, which serves the population.

Recently, I wrote a web renderer/framework using solid-js reactivity to understand how a reactive renderer works. The docs website been written with it and mainly to test the library. https://pota.quack.uy/ . Source co

We built a website over a year ago https://ehmeh.com/ In there you can video chat with multiple people, similar to Omegle. The difference may be that the video chat is in ASCII and the connection is done in WebRTC, fun alt

Yep, that's right. The "mini player" on Windows has exactly the same problem. Its a big box of 200x100~ pixels or so and it doesnt include a volume control, you have to exit the mini player. I do not understand the reasoning

No, because I could be playing a game with its own volume, while also being in a webrtc call with someone on another tab. Volume control for a music player is no-brainer.

It doesn't have a volume control, I really can't understand the point of these "minimal UIs" that don't have the very most basic needed _feature_.

My memory is vague. Anyone remember the related one about wife reporting some office app won't print on $day? edit: here it is https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cupsys/+bug/255161...

I believe the implementation is buggy, because I almost never see a Cloudflare page and I can consistently see one here when double-clicking the button.

This particular case doesn't use JavaScript at all. It is just CSS cropping the full URL in a way that when you select and copy it, copies text that it is hidden. edit to add an example: data:text/html,<div>123<b st

When visiting the link, chrome just suggested I may mean to visit "reddit", never seen that before. I have safe browsing disabled, so I'm at a lost from where this comes from. https://i.imgur.com/l57osTi.png

Sorry, but this is not the way. It's like saying, "but I am escaping my inputs on sql with my function"... instead of doing the right thing. The equivalent code is really not that hard: const span = document.createEleme

I'm left wondering if the feed data from planes is broadcasted to pilots on the ground to figure out possible problems. Like the actual instrumentation data, as the article says, there was an oversight from their part.

I do not consider "online", when it's a PM. A private message, should be private. There are reasons to get rid of the whole thing sometimes.

Sorry, buy you have the wrong idea. That would be fine for public servers, but not for Private Conversations. I'ts unacceptable. edit:typo

Discord doesn't respect privacy, you cannot just get rid of a whole conversation. Users are the product, and they make it so difficult to delete entire convos that it's so obvious it's just valuable to them.

This is actually a very good idea. I'm gonna start implementing it on my sites. If you want your account verified, just email the site with anything or nothing at all. Thanks for the idea! Email verification is a nightmare.
