Also, the double underscore prefix is reserved for magic methods: PHP reserves all function names starting with __ as magical. It is recommended that you do not use function names with __ in PHP unless you want some documented

For people who only read as far as the "Fixing It" section, this post will make the problem worse. There's an unfortunate mistake that changes the meaning to the exact opposite of what was intended: Write your code to call open async

Element.classList is a bit of an odd addition. No doubt it'll be useful, but wouldn't something more generic have served us better? Class isn't the only attribute that takes space-delimited values. (Or is there also Element.relList?)

Yeah, it must have been targeted at Chrome. I got the same blank page in Safari 5.0.5, and an error dialog in Firefox 5. Edit : It's meant for Chrome 14.

People did this to share non-mp3 files on the original Napster. I wonder if Wrapster still runs... http://www.team-mp3.com/mp3/wrapster.htm

This is definitely more ambitious, but basic multi-column text flow is already defined in the multi-column layout module: http://www.w3.org/TR/css3-multicol/ CSS columns as defined by that module have been supported by Firefox and WebKit

Yeah, I understand the cause. Just because those steps make logical sense doesn't mean it's not a bug. My real point was about the WONTFIX tendencies of the PHP dev team at the time (I've been gone a while; maybe it's better now). It's ab

I have this simple json formatting alias defined: alias json='python -mjson.tool' I'm not much of a vi/vim/macvim user, but I bet you could pipe an open json document through that command pretty easily right in the editor.

FYI, the app limits the precision artificially. The database is much more precise. There's an entry in their FAQ about it. Maybe the parent poster patched the app to get finer precision.

The precision was limited intentionally. From the FAQ: To make it less useful for snoops, the spatial and temporal accuracy of the data has been artificially reduced. You can only animate week-by-week even though the data is

Damn, you're right. I'd played around with Cloud Player a bit last night in Safari/Mac, but I guess I never let it play two songs in a row. I just tried to play an album and it stopped after the first song.

It actually looks like they could make the web-based UI work in Mobile Safari without too much work. (Easy for me to say.) The UI renders perfectly already. As far as I can tell, playback is the only thing that doesn't work. (But if yo

FYI, Less.js isn't just a javascript port. It adds new features, and the "&" selector is among them. That said, I agree that SASS is more mature. I've used each on at least two projects now, and, with the release of SASS 3.0's and SCS
