You know, this information isn't really readily available to us user interface people. At least, it's not obvious where to go to read about it. I would love a brief history of GUI programming concepts and patterns if you could poi

The tool used is: https://github.com/sebastianbergmann/phploc Maybe it's doing things like contracting method calls to one line and making single statement if blocks one line.

I couldn't help it, I'm sorry ;-). Although there is a point that Evan You has put a lot of effort into finessing the "developer experience" of using Vue. That includes vue-cli, "blessed" packages surrounding t

Vue comes with good preconfigured defaults, see vue-cli; https://github.com/vuejs/vue-cli Incidentally, vue-cli predates create-react-app.

You can totally use Redux, but conceptually Vuex is so similar that you may as well use that. Also, Vue doesn't really have two way binding, just the v-model directive that is syntax sugar for handling an event to update component stat

If your success relies on search engine listings, it is still better to render the contents on the server to that the crawlers can index it (some still penalise JS only sites). You can then "hydrate" the SPA on the client for a be

You can drop down to JSX or plain JS render functions with Vue if you like, but JSX (which brings with it all the potential complexity of JS) is harder for many people to understand. The constraints of a (very!) simple templating DSL make t

It's really easy to just pull Vue in via a script tag and get going with a data driven application. No build step required. You can take it much much further of course, but the beginner story is really compelling.
