I'm one of these people. The problem I have is trust. Ads or nit, I no longer trust Facebook to not continue violating my privacy WHILE I'm a paying customer. The trust has been broken and without data transparency and regulations

Sorry, no. I don't trust a government API/website with my personal information. They collect and abuse the private data that I DON'T willingly give them access to. Imagine what they'd do with the data I do.
