Good point. If it’s a corporate zoom account then it can likely be included in the IT AUP however. But I usually ask for it to be done.

Accountability, agenda, actions in that order. So start with asking for the meeting to be recorded. Refuse to attend unless it is using the excuse that you may want to review bits of it later. They can’t refuse for accountability reasons. A

They’ve worked out how to do that from home. I’ve grown particularly good at popping their balloons. Zoom meetings are far more visible as they can be recorded and if they aren’t productive I make sure that is known.

I am their anti-customer by definition. I suspect a lot of people don’t know what they want. I’m glad I’m not one of them.

This is my wife’s uncle. He does this all the time. If there’s one poop in a field he’ll step in it. Recent failures include: no brand Chinese smartphone bricking on Christmas Day and losing all his photos because he didn’t want to pay for

That’s fine until it doesn’t work or the journal is corrupt or you’re pulling the journal off the file system as mentioned further down the post I made. I’ve been there and the entire toolset fell to pieces in front of me. Plain text is ord

Well it’s more what you do with a node that has been isolated or is suspect. Mounting the file system on a scratch node for analysis and then looking at the logs is a pain in the ass when you have journald in the way. As for forwarding, the

Completely agree with this. One of the biggest risks is using journald if you ask me. It makes logs fairly impenetrable if you have a forensic situation to deal with. Now there did need to be a better solution in the init system space but s

I’d rather have five shorter days personally. The last couple of hours of each day is usually a mental write off for me.
