Always take the Amtrak train between Chicago and Detroit - so much nicer and easier. In my opinion, better than a car on a long weekend when the roads are jammed.

If you use any (and I mean any) school funded resources for any of your personal projects, yes, they usually have a basis for a claim. I have a friend who went to Utah for his bachelor's in CS.

Same here. I am a US to UK person as well. Stuff is just so much easier to find and fill out. It was a breath of fresh air, where previously I would dread the thought of trying to use govt websites.

Maybe I haven't been paying that much attention. I travel wearing a mix of dress/ converse/ boots type shoes but no issues so far. Neither has my GF had any issues (that I know of).

No it's not. I fly regularly intra-EU and maybe once (?) have had to take my shoes off in the last 5+yrs....can't even remember. I don't know which airports you transit/use but I go throw most of the major ones across EU
