Wouldn't this create so many jobs? There are many jobs in Canada that can't exist because of how expensive it is to hire people (which coincides with how expensive it is to live in Toronto). Subsidise that, and many people will be

It's like the reverse of the /g/ or /sci/ meme with a picture of Makise Kurisu saying "You should be able to solve this" accompanied by a laughably difficult problem.

If there is positive utility from shopping while crowded, it means the game is Prisoner's Dilemma: going shopping will be always the best option. I can understand why they didn't consider that possibility as it is "unsolvable

Using a job market matching model would be more appropriate for this, seeing that each hour is associated with an convenience level (a la wages) and disutility from crowding. However economics is about studying equilibria, not finding recip

The unholy trinity of upvotes/downvotes/karma creates some "echo chamberishness" (if I have to put it nicely) and pressure on posting as users tend to use the power to punish "wrongthink" instead of low effort

I am throughly horrified at the difference between the approaches of American and European schools. Most European schools have already moved fall semester online while American schools are scrambling to preserve their tuitions. I mean, just

They have programming as a career first while you have it as a hobby first. I wouldn't consider them wrong for doing this, but your annoyance at someone using your passion as a tool for their ends also is not unfounded.

Maybe they shouldn't have been forced to choose between Hillary/Biden or Trump if you wanted them to choose "wisely". The responsibility for losing to Trump falls solely on the Democratic Party, and the talk of footguns

Wealth is (obviously) corralated with many properties that make it easier to gain wealth. To look at the effect of parents' wealth (and solely that) on children, you need to look into lottery winners or Bitcoin/APPL holders.
