I think it's bad, as it opens the door for the "valid" retort of ducks being necrophiliac. Is a fallacious argument the hill we want to die on? I'd rather just support the positives of a liberal approach.

Writing "ps4 piracy" and "xbox one piracy" into google is a whole lot shorter than your comment. Then again, it doesn't give karma like a cool retort would.

Honestly, there's got to be a better solution than full-on streaming. Has anyone seen the demo where there's >2 seconds of input lag? Even with around a 0.1 input lag, what can I play comfortably? Any kind of action games or pl

Number 1 limits the model very harshly. If you absolutely need to secure a contract, you need to keep bidding your minimum price. Else, we can view this as a simple utility maximization problem where each high offer costs you one period of

Well, humans are already capable of dealing with it. The judges know that prisoners know what is expected of a good prisoner. The decisions are already being made with that in mind. Contrast this with evaluating a programmer's performa

The whole thing is very similar to the replication crisis, which is caused by p being a random variable and sometimes hitting below 0.05 for no reason. Similarly, any training or test set validation percentage is also a random variable. Eve

Following the comments posted here, I think the proper way to format input is to split the transformations into two. The credit card example gives us purely cosmetic changes and it makes sense to apply them in real-time so the user receives

I stand corrected on the name. The operational overhead might be reasonable excuse, but I don't think a second-price auction would necessitate that much effort. You could get by with just a form and running a query on it.

> reverse-dutch auction Why? Even if it's "cute", it serves no other purpose than racking up prices and keeping buyers second-guessing themselves. Just run a normal Dutch or a second-price auction.

Considering cardinalities, functions and strings are equal. Using javascript notation, ‘fn => fn.toString()’ is an injective function from functions to strings and ‘str => () => str’ is an injective function from strings to functio

I’m a bit confused about the functions always being continuous. Step functions being ill-defined makes sense, but how about modulos? f(x) = x mod 1 should be trivially discontinuous. I should also be able to contruct the set of integers Z (
