Yeah, if your rationale isn't "it's easy and cheap", you're probably full of shit. When it's to the point where I can push a button and have a TV show pop up on my NAS viewable on all my devices in a few minute

Sounds similar to the China Dos Union MS-DOS "7.1" which used the DOS from Windows 98 and included FAT32 support, long file names and a CD-based installer. https://winworldpc.com/product/ms-dos/7x

This is why I frequently ask up the chain to confirm requirements in a "is it ever possible we might want to do X?" way quite often. Getting outright "no"s will often help to simplify your design and if it comes back to

Well said. I was recently passed off a project from someone who didn't have a development background but had been working on C++... the amount of copy-paste, repetitive if statements and fixed length arrays makes the original code almo

I don't think that's necessarily true, I use Synergy on my desktop - 2 machines, a windows box for gaming and windows dev and a Linux box for most general uses including most dev work, ops work on servers, etc. Something like WSL

Check out librevault, it does encrypted file sync using a DHT to find peers, allows for encrypted-only nodes which cannot decrypt your files (so you can throw them up on cheap VPSes, or friend's machines without worry) and in a nice op

It would be so easy to beat this though (if you want the analog hole route), ultimately that gets decoded and sent to the speakers in the headphones, rip the headphones apart. Unless they start doing serious hardware anti-tamper in headphon

Happened to me in about 4 or 5 months. Ridiculously crappy, quicker than the ones Lenovo and Dell ship even. I expected better build quality from Apple but given the heat and noise issues I have I don't really think I've seen it.

This is why you should use Tor only with a series of VMs, one with internet and tor access to act as a router and the other which can only access the router vm. This lowers the attack surface to just that of Tor's proxy interface and y
